From Present to Future

My hopes and dreams for the present are currently being met. I’ve reached
my dream of being accepted into nursing school at the University of Iowa,
leading me down a path to bigger and better dreams. I would like to graduate
from college within four years and receive my BSN and also a minor in
French. Someday I hope to be able to use my knowledge of nursing and French
together. I don’t just want to graduate though, I dream of doing it with
at least a 3.75 because I know if I work hard then this is an achievable
goal. I want to learn everything possible that will make me a better nurse
because peoples’ lives will rest in my hands.
Graduating from nursing school will be an exciting point in my life
however it will only become more exciting from there. After graduating and
gaining some experience I would then like to go back to graduate school and
receive my degree to become a nurse practitioner. To me, my future is very
exciting and I plan on enjoying every day of it, however it will not be
easy. If I receive this scholarship it will help cut the expenses of school,
enabling me to focus less on costs and more on my studies. I would very much
appreciate your consideration this scholarship will help me achieve my
dreams.
